One of the most important things that you can do is to invest in yourself. That investment could be time, money you spend on your education, a course or individual coaching, or simply a holiday. Money you spend wisely on yourself will pay you dividends for a long, long time.
I’ve just returned from the Hay House Cruise to the South Pacific and whoever came up with the idea to present seminars on cruises at Hay House was inspired. There is something about combining a relaxing break with an inspirational cruise that is more effective than just attending a one or two day seminar. When you are relaxed your mind is open and more receptive to new ideas. You start to recognise the patterns and habits you have which take you away from what you want and when you are enjoying yourself it is just so much easier to live in the moment rather than worry about the future. I went with the intention of getting a book contract with Hay House. I returned knowing it was okay if I got the contract and equally okay if I didn’t.
I wanted to share with you some of the things that I was reminded of on this cruise:
1. There have been times in my life when certain people have treated me with disdain, disrespect and rudeness and I’ve wondered why because this is not how I treat others. I realised that when I attract this it’s a reminder to love myself more. I still have a tendency to put certain people before myself.
2. My relationship with myself is the most important relationship of all. When I love myself I attract all that I need and all that I desire.
3. I don’t need to be perfect, I simply need to be me. Who I am is good enough.
4. That my daily routine is vital to my happiness and success. Like most people I let good habits slip at times, so I’m now back to starting my day slowly with inspirational reading and meditation.
5. I need to participate in more events like this as constant reminders help me be the person I choose to be.
Just remember that your relationship with others can only be as good as your relationship with yourself.
